Want to play soccer? Players wanted
Tone Shimizu (’58) and Ippei Guzon (’68) is currently planning to form an over-60 SJIS soccer team to participate in an over-60 soccer tournament. The tournament will be played in Japan in the Spring of 2014. If you are over 60 years old and would like to join them in this tournament, sign up now!
- In Japan: There is an on-going yearly tournament (has been going on for many yrs) that has Over-60 Divisions. There are 3 Divisions.
- Competitive: Players are all early 60’s and in excellent shape. The players worked and played in the major corporate teams (Toshiba, Hitachi, Nihon Kokan, etc). We older graduates know this because we played against those teams. They were good then.
- Recreational: O-60 Division but teams most probably have a few O-70 players and as a whole generally older. This Div. is not as competitive but they still play a skillful and good ball control game.
Contact us here if you want to participate in the tournament. Please state that you would like to participate in the over-60 soccer tournament with your name and class year in the message.
